Ruggy 10 Posted September 28, 2012 I'll bee needing to change my front brake pads shortly. The cars only a '95 8v, can I expect much increase in braking performance to changing to Ferodo DS2500 pads on standard discs? Anybody got experience of using these pads, heard good things about them compared to EBC etc. Cheers
fendervg 32 Posted September 29, 2012 They are good pads, but very expensive - probably the best of the "performance" ones. I ran them for about 5K, but eventually took them off and went back to standard because of noise and too much dust. They will bite earlier and fade later, but tbh, if you're not on a track you won't notice the difference.
Supercharged 2 Posted September 29, 2012 Yeah best pads you can get but I'd say you're better off doing a 280mm upgrade!
Ruggy 10 Posted September 29, 2012 Yeah best pads you can get but I'd say you're better off doing a 280mm upgrade! That's also a consideration, I've already got the G60 carriers sat around doing nothing. Can't really be bothered with changing the calipers though. If I ran standard pads for my 8v with the 280mm discs, how tight a fit will it be? Too much friction caused?
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted October 1, 2012 Best pads you can get?! Hardly. Average. Strictly, average.
