Album56 0 Posted October 31, 2012 Think my front engine mount has let go again after 10 years, G60s produce a extraordinary amount of torque at times dont they. genuine VW replacement will cost over £150 from dealer but there is a new genuine Febi-Bilstein mount listed as part no 357199279B on Ebay for £53 inc p&p. My question:- Were Febi-Bilstein mounts OE on Corrado G60s, if not has anybody had experience of theses parts? Any help much appreciated, Mick
CazzaVR 0 Posted October 31, 2012 Nope, not OEM. They are pretty good for most parts, but I would stay genuine or go for poly/Vibratechnics for the mounts. As you say, a lot of torque goes through there- you get what you pay for!
Album56 0 Posted October 31, 2012 Thanks for that, I guess I'll fit the genuine VW part again cos the way this car runs it could easily see another 10 years......

Rorgasm 10 Posted October 31, 2012 Glad you raised this issue as my G60 has a front engine mount which I'm guessing isn't the best thing:shrug:
Album56 0 Posted November 15, 2012 New front mount sourced from VAG Germany fitted today & its like a new car again. Part, labour & VAT £248 to my local backstreet VW specialist. Very pleased that my diagnosis was correct & can now drive the car quickly again.
