Bad smell odour removal ??

Recommended Posts

15 years old interior, been fully cleaned and restored not more than 2 years ago but still doesn't smell nice. I believe it must be seats foam as everything else was washed including carpet and head liner. Interior was stripped and shell was fully washed inside so it must be the seats. Any idea how to remove bad odour ??

Car was driven few times in last 18 months what made it even worst.

I'm starting from putting dehumidify bags inside as starters but really would like to restore nice smell or at least remove old odour.

Many different products on market, claiming they do the job but what is the best.

Any ideas what to buy ??

Try an open container of baking soda under the seats (bicarbonate of soda). Can buy kg bags on ebay quite cheaply.

If you have leather then Gliptone cleaner and conditioner are your best bet for the seats.. Might be worth taking them out if you don't need your car all the time..

If it is the seats the car will improve quickly with them out..

Ok, from personal experience I can tell you that this thing smells DISGUSTING!

I used one in my daily to get rid of the smell of fags, but really this thing smelt worse!!!

It did indeed destroy every other smell but 2 months later and my car still smells like this thing and I HATE it!!

I use that stuff in mine, it is very good. Once a week give a subtle spray of Autoglym Autofresh too, on carpets and boot area..keeps it fresh as a daisy

There are companies that specialise in the removal of bodily fluids and odours.

(Reminding me of an Inbetweeners episode this one.)

Makes me wonder what you think is causing the smell. I instantly thought of Pulp Fiction.
