Jim 2 Posted November 14, 2012 Quite often pattern belts are just rubber and don't have the material / thread in them that seems to eliminate squeal like this. I had it with my G60 some years back and went through several cheap aftermarket auxiliary belts (without this material) before finally fitting a genuine VAG one (with the material) - and low and behold it stopped it.
