jpowell79 0 Posted November 21, 2012 My corrado is seriously starting to frustrate me now! Had the car back on the road for less than a week after my tensioner seized up and alternator belt snapped on me last week. Only just got it sorted out.....then this morning went to start up the car......starts for about a second or two then cuts out on me. I had a similar issue about a month ago, and an auto-electrician tidied up the cables going into the fuse box....but am wondering if it's the same thing, or the fuel pump itself is on its way out? Is there any easy way of checking what is causing this? Do I need a new fuel pump? new fuse box? new wiring? any suggestions guys?

James. 9 Posted November 21, 2012 You should be able to hear the fuel pump prime when you switch the ignition on. If you don't, my first port of call would be the fuel pump relay (67 or 167). Take it out and give it a tap. Clean the contacts and re-install it. It worked for me once.
