VR-Sixy 0 Posted November 22, 2012 Hello Corrado-Heads. Looking like the christmas present from me to me is going to be a K and N Induction kit for my Rado. (If that's just TOO sad, please advise!!) Has anyone got any advice on these? Are they easy to fit or do you need a lot of specialist kit/tools/Bacon Sandwiches etc) to get the job done. Or is there anything else out there that does the job as well or better? Thanks Guys. :thumbleft:
CazzaVR 0 Posted November 22, 2012 10 minutes to fit, dead easy. Will sound great, but will probably harm your performance unless you have a good heatshield. You're much better off with a K&N panel filter in the standard airbox, or with a BMC CDA, which is enclosed, or a Carbonio which is routed through the carbon canister hole and out of the engine bay. Trust me, my first VR had one when I bought it and the car felt loads better (smoothness, throttle response) when I fitted a standard airbox and paper filter! Oh well, i think i'll stick with that. :)

Billzeebub 1 Posted November 22, 2012 Where's the best place to get a BMC? How easy is it to fit?
Craig 0 Posted November 24, 2012 i think stealth sell them new? google stealth racing and give them a call, mon-fri. alternatively they do pop up for sale on here and also ed38. id say one in good condition should be about £90-£100. Worth it for the noise in my opinion. Also i think the outlet is a slightly different soze to the vr6 maf so you need a piece of connecting silicone for a smooth fitment :) and easy to fit, whip off the air, connecto filter to the amf and secure it and job done
