tentonhammer 10 Posted November 27, 2012 Looking to do an engine oil & filter change in the next couple of weeks and would like to replace the sump plug washer to ensure a tight seal. Normally I grab part numbers etc from VAGCAT in advance but it looks like their servers are down. Does anyone know the part number for this? If I can order one in from somewhere - even better. Driving to vw just to order a washer seems a tad excessive and I imagine will cost me more in fuel! Any advice on engine oil changes welcome Cheers, C 92 16V 2.
Supercharged 2 Posted November 27, 2012 It's M14 - standard part available from Halfords / VW / GSF etc

Jim Bowen 1 Posted November 27, 2012 I've not used it yet, so not sure if its as good as vagcat http://ifinterface.com/page/page3.php?langid=
tentonhammer 10 Posted November 27, 2012 M14 - That's great, thanks supercharged. I've used AVS a few times, they're great for spares actually Jim - The ifinterface is actually better than VAGCAT (sort of). The schematics are similar to ETKA (and way better than VAGCAT) and you can click directly on the drawing itself to hop to the required part number. Feels like a BETA version though so a bit glitchy at times (mines just crashed!) will definitely keep an eye on this one and try on my computer home which is way better than the piece of cr*p I'm using at work.
