can i use an Fse FPR on my g60 as opposed to a porche 944 turbo 3.5bar fpr if i were to get a chip fitted? i like the idea of being able to get the fuel pressure fineley adjusted, or am i barking up the wrong tree here? :?:

yes, it'll do the same job, it's just an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, the "power boost valve" is just marketing waffe.

but you'll need a pressure gauge to to check what you've set it at.

I think the chips are calibrated for a specific fuel pressure.

Most are for the standard 3bar FPR & SNS chips are for the 3.5bar FPR

The FSE regs are not really suitable for use with forced induction. They do not function correctly under vacuum and they have a rising rate as opposed to the more linier rate of the Bosch reg. We have binned several FSE valves this year as they have been the route of fueling issues that many customers cars have had.

Raising fuel pressue requires the duty cycle of the injectors to be reduced to compensate so the engine does not run rich.

FSE boost valves are pap. I've seen many an electronic injected car run *worse* from using one.

The VW ones are fine for the job they have to do.
