KIPVW 0 Posted January 3, 2013 A jet wash and a bottle of Hair shampoo works wonders ;)
Billzeebub 1 Posted January 3, 2013 My usual method is a rough brushing (with brush from dustpan), then slightly damp cloth. If still soiled then some warm soapy water and a car sponge, old toothbrush on stitching and Corrado script, rinsing regularly

davidwort 0 Posted January 3, 2013 I've put mats in the bath before, soaked in bio washing liquid then tread on them to squeeze the dirt out, unless you can use a large launderette machine I think you'd have to bend the mats too much and damage them
Goldie 2 Posted January 4, 2013 No wonder people think we are mad with these cars... Imagine seeing a man walking up and down on some car mats on his drive...

fla 9 Posted January 4, 2013 if there are some spots on the mats (eg heel marks), spray some Vanish or use some Ace bleach, but make sure you dont leave it on too long before washing. As above use some washing powder (persil et al), scrub with a hard (plastic) brush and rinse thoroughly. If you're feeling particularly indulgent of your mats (!), soak them in fabric softener in a large bowl or bucket and then hang them leaving them to drip dry, dont rinse out. Car will smell really fresh for quite a while.
