owen g60 10 Posted February 18, 2013 I've just changed my calipers and wanted to do my pads at the same time. I have grooved and drilled disks, I went to fit oem pads but they are too wide and couldn't get the calipers on the disk even with the piston wound right back in. Supercharged 2 Posted February 18, 2013 What car / brake setup have you got??? ---------- Post added at 8:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 8:34 PM ---------- If it's a G60 then I think you might have fitted 16V calipers to it!
owen g60 10 Posted February 18, 2013 They're g60 calipers. I'm beginning to think I've got pads for the thinner disk/calipers combination ---------- Post added at 9:18 PM ---------- Previous post was at 8:39 PM ---------- What width are standard g60 disks? I know they should all be 280mm as mine are, I get the feeling mine are wider as they're drilled grooved and vented. Could be wrong here
Supercharged 2 Posted February 19, 2013 22mm If you use 16v pads these will give you an extra 5mm overall if you think that will do it
owen g60 10 Posted February 19, 2013 That's about the amount I have to lose somewhere. Will get them changed for 16v ones
