2.9 ABV for sale £325 Price drop for Garage space

Recommended Posts

For sale:

2.9 ABV 12v VR6 Lump OBD 1

As part of my upgrade to 24v power, I have removed the 12v lump from the car. It's from a 92 K Reg car that has completed 192k. Don't let the mileage put you off though as I have a receipt for £3920 for a complete rebuild from Grant Motorsport in 2009, Approx 30k back. It also had a complete ignition replacement last summer at a cost of £264.

It comes complete minus the following:

Air filter housing

Oil Pressure sensors and wiring

Oil temp sensor and wiring

Power steering pump

All plumbing

Mounts

The electrical loom between the ecu and the fusebox.

Clutch and Flywheel

Wiring Loom between engine and ECU/Fusebox

Speed sensor wiring

Everything else is included from the MAF to the Exhaust manifolds. It will need a new aux belt as the old one is past it best. I'm sure anyone who buys an engine to fit, will give it a basic service, so a new belt is hardly taxing!

I have a video of it running for anyone seriously interested for added peace of mind. I carried out a VAGCOM scan before removal, but forgot to get a screen shot. There were no fault codes logged at time of removal. No hot or cold start problems. Starts first time, everytime and revs perfectly.

Collection only as I do not want the hassle of couriers breaking stuff and myself getting the blame.

Located in Lincolnshire

£375 ono - I'm in no rush to sell it, it's living in my nice warm, dry and secure garage and it will until the right person takes her to it's new home.

EDIT: Just to clarify for those asking questions, The gearbox is NOT included - The diff is worn and I'm going to keep it for a rebuild.

Unfortunately, the receipt is vague on what exact parts were fitted/Changed but it does say Full rebuild, including piston rings and head.

The new suspension components listed are shock absorbers from what I can work out going over the car. It still has OEM springs, so I'm sure the suspension part of the £2200 parts list is relatively small.

I hope that clears things up for anyone interested.
