alimac81 10 Posted April 10, 2013 Does anyone know the correct grease to use on the vr6 cable operated gearshift linkage? Cheers
seanl82 23 Posted April 10, 2013 I use white grease. Its the best thing to use on metal to metal parts that are not really under pressure and don't suffer with heat build up. Its the best thing for the gear stick mech, door hinges and sunroof mech as well mate. It doesnt attract dirt like wetter greases either so remains good for a long time. alimac81 10 Posted April 10, 2013 Cheers for the info, any idea of any particular brands of white grease? I assume you can get the stuff from halfords.
seanl82 23 Posted April 10, 2013 Funnily enough, I bought some Sunday and put it in the "Halfords Trade Card" thread in the Suppliers Forum. Comma 500ml Can is £5.99, with trade card its £4.79.
