Quick hello from a soon to be owner

Recommended Posts

Hi there guys

Just a quick hello. Me and my good friend adam have just joined up here.

Me as a potential owner. Literally one 20 min blast in a vr6 and I was sold grinning ear to ear.

At the moment I drive a subaru legacy gtb estate and an off road shogun.

Both are up for sale though.

Not sure on ehat model would like a g60 as ive never had a supercharged car. But I hear they more fragile

Or a vr6 just so I can keep up withy mate. That or a nice 2.0 16v.

Closest ive had to a vw is a audi a4 :/

Anyway hope to be of use here. And ta fpr welcoming us

Welcome Geoff.

Lots of really good advice on here to help you decide which is the best model for your needs. What I would say is don't be put off any of them by the standard negative comments (G60's liable to blow up; VR6 nose heavy; 16v underpowered) and get the straightest most honest one you can find. The engine characteristics do give them slightly different personalities when you want to open them up with pro's and con's to each.

Good luck with your search.

Ta for the welcome guys. Already been lingering a little while haha.

Ideally id like a g60 as I do like forced induction :)

But id also like to stand a chance with keeping up with my mate in his vr6

Was actually looking at this car maybe

But its price worries me

Didnt want to apend to much more though as what I make on the cars I have most will be going into savings. Any tips ?

Welcome along mate, as said there are some great cars about so take your time. There are loads of debates about which engine is best etc but its absolutely down to personal choice. Where abouts are you?

Be interested to know the reg plate when you get it.. I sold a blackberry 2.0 16v in Birmingham quite a few years back and have never seen any sign of it since despite it apparently still being on the road!

I take it all back. Sadly the car is ****ing oil out of the big end. Thankfully the buyer was honest. I've gotta keep on looking. As for the plate it started nui

I haven't seen the purple rado in Stratford at all. This would explain why! I rarely see any around here. Ther used to be a well looked after storm mystic blue with pvt plate (I think) ending in pus :)
