timthetinyhorse 0 Posted May 12, 2013 I'm busy doing the head gasket on the VR......when I removed the fuel rail there was three wires going to what I think is the oil filter housing, two came off great but on the other the connector has snapped off.... Question 1, what are the wires? Question 2, are the connectors that thread into the filter still available? (it's the green and black wire that goes to it off that's any help) Cheers Rob ---------- Post added at 3:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 3:31 PM ---------- Is it am oil pressure switch I need? ---------- Post added at 3:53 PM ---------- Previous post was at 3:42 PM ---------- Google tels me it's the oil temp sensor for the MFA, anyone know if they are still available? Jim Bowen 1 Posted May 12, 2013 I just soldered on a spade connector and heat shrink wrapped it. Works fine.
timthetinyhorse 0 Posted May 12, 2013 There is nothing left to solder to mate. Just a tiny corroded stump... Will take another look tomorrow and see if I could make soulder work
Jim Bowen 1 Posted May 12, 2013 I may of misunderstood. I might have a spare bit that goes into the housing. Thought it was just the wire snapped which is common
timthetinyhorse 0 Posted May 13, 2013 No mate it's the actual sensor end that has snapped.
