Mawrick 0 Posted May 28, 2013 Anyone ever repaired the interior plastic with some kind of welding/gluing, and any tips on how to do it and what to use?. My problem is the surrounding around the stereo/heater control - or rather the bar that splits the two units have been broken as long as I'v had the car, and was thinking about maybe trying to repair it in some way..... Any tips ?
owen g60 10 Posted May 28, 2013 I've done one before. I used a soldering iron to melt black zip ties on the hidden parts of any breaks to get the correct shape. Any cracks on the front can also be done like this if careful or use a plastic glue like you get for air fix models to bond it back together. Some light sanding may be needed to get it flush once cured.
robrado974 1 Posted May 28, 2013 Mitre bond is another good product , spray one side of the broken peice , carefully glue the other , hold together for 10 secs ,sorted .
