gripper924 0 Posted June 9, 2013 My 1995 2.0 16v has started to jump under hard acceleration. It is a bit of a shock each time as the engine loses power and then regains it. It starts and idles fine, but is jumpy when accelerating which is also unnerving as I am usually overtaking! My thoughts are: I'm pretty sure it occurs when the weather is hotter, although I can't prove that theory until cold weather comes! The fuel pump has been wining for years but I suppose it could be about to fail? The leads and plugs have not been changed for a while. Does anyone have any ideas please? thanks. sexybourbon 0 Posted June 9, 2013 Leads , plugs , dizzy cap and rotor arm , also the cold start valvs are dodgy when they get older so could be chucking to much fuel in on full chat You can also advance and retard the car off the dizzy if someone has messed with it it could be out causing juddery'ness if thats a word lol
