PhatVR6 0 Posted May 10, 2004 what about bleeding it too......or did you just not bother with that?
Henny 0 Posted May 10, 2004 (I'll fill that bit in Phat, ;) ) Bleeding it is EXACTLY the same as doing a brake cylinder, except you'll need to pull the peddle back up each time, and will need to give it a quite few pumps by hand once it's bled through to get it completely OK again... I've been told that it's actually a self bleeding system on the clutch, but I've yet to get it into my head how that works... :? Oh, and don't try using a cheap easy bleed kit, you need someone on the peddle, and you opening and closing the vlave each time in my experience...

PhatVR6 0 Posted May 10, 2004 yep, eezi bleeds don't work on the clutch for some reason, but you can bleed it in a matter of minutes if you have someone pressing the pedal.
Supercharged 2 Posted May 10, 2004 Call yourself a doctor... You may also need to move the gear selector linkage out the way before you start and you want to clamp the feed pipe off too, may be a good idea to use something to catch the fluid and make sure you have some dot4 to refill when bleeding! Pipe unions should be 20Nm and slave to gearbox 25Nm.
GazzaG60 0 Posted May 10, 2004 1. take care when moving the cables about. 2. dont loosen the cables just the mounts on the box. 3. Dont break/round a line 4. bleed it well after 5. order a master to fit the week later for when that goes
