G60radoboi 10 Posted June 15, 2013 So I got HT leads from ECP as I am servicing the car but discovered on one of the leads there is an electrical sensor! Do I have to get genuine leads or does this sensor not matter too much? I love this car but damn it is testing my patience to the max lol.
enzo 10 Posted June 19, 2013 I am guessing this is on a 2.0 16v 9A, as they have the inductive pick up round one of the plug leads... Even if you buy Genuine leads they dont come with the sensor, you have to remove the lead end slide the sensor on, and then fit the end back on the lead. How successfull this is depends on how the leads are made, all the descent leads like the Beru ones have clip on ends, so you can remove and refit a lead end without messing it up, but dont know if the cheaper leads are made in the same way. Jim 2 Posted June 19, 2013 Yeah - I've written about this fairly extensively as I went through the same pain but you'll need to have a bit of a search to find it. Just turned this thread up explaining in pictures what you need to do! http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=76195
