Lee, it's not finished yet. Once complete we'll do a RR run to see. By seat of the pants feel there's alot more torque below 4k rpm.

 

Vince did a RR before any of the mods were carried out - just the K&N 57i on there from before - made 217bhp with 197.5 lb/ft.

 

After these mods I'm not expecting an increase in that bhp figure, but I will be interested in the torque and more importantly, what the curve looks like.

Jedi The figures are academic really, it's all about how it drives. The VSR has transformed the torque characteristics, and the car feels alot livelier. I'm sure it's not producing loads of more power than before, but it feels like it is just because the torque is being produced were you need it.

 

The max power was produced at 6034rpm, and peak torque at 5561rpm, although the main torque curve starts at 4400rpm.

That won't happen till it exceeds 90K. VRs are at their best at circa 70K.

Extremely reluctantly I'm going to have to sell my pride and joy :cry:

 

I'll post up properly later in the for sale section with more details etc.

 

I'll probably be selling it as a standard car, unless someone out there wants it as it is - but we'll have to discuss this as it has some of the most desirable and extremely rare modifications you can do on a VR.

 

A truly special example of a very fine car. It was ordered with every factory optional extra specified apart from auto and full size spare. Also has air con. It's mint! Please browse through this thread to get an idea what the car is like. It's got a HUGE file of history/receipts/all MOTs and even original receipt of sale. The car has 77k on the clock.
