Replacing rear brakes

Recommended Posts

I am looking to fit new disc's and pads to the rear my Corrado. I was going to get Pagid pads and standard discs, would anyone recommend any others that they consider better? I have MK4 Golf callipers fitted.

Thanks

I'd go with what you've suggested. You won't notice any difference what so ever during normal road use on the rears.

exactly what I did last month ! genuine disks and pagid pads. if your changing the bearings put something decent in not cheap old rubbish and you might wanna change the abs ring.

Thanks for the replies. I've got bearings from VW, hadn't thought about the ABS ring, I'll do them whilst I'm there. I'm replacing the handbrake cables as well, best to do everything at once.

have you attempted to get your carrier bolts out yet ??? struggled to get mine out and had to replace them... might be a good idea to put new ones on too

Yeah, I took them out at the weekend. They came out without any problems but I would rather do everything at once so I don't have to strip them again for a while. I'll add them to my shopping list
