devnull 0 Posted May 15, 2004 Does anyone know if the crank bearings are all the same or if they're all different? I have them all lined up according to where they came from, but they're all a bit worn and I am going to replace them. I just wanted to know if there's anything I need to look out for when replacing them. Thanks! :D

Kevin Bacon 5 Posted May 15, 2004 White metal bearings should be assembled with a special run-in grease, it's normally red. It protects them during the first few cycles until the oil pressure builds up, but shed loads of oil will suffice if you can't get the grease. devnull 0 Posted May 15, 2004 Thanks for all the extra info, I truly appreciate it. :D My other question still stands though, are they all the same or is each one specific to that section of the crank in terms of shape, weight, size, etc?
