Hunting G60

Recommended Posts

Hi,

My 1991 G60 hunts badly when in a low gear and at low revs. the revs only go up and down by 100 rpm or so,(with feet off peddles) but the car kangaroos down the roar. It stops as soon as i accelerate.

I have changed the front engine mount, and checked the back 2.

Any ideas??

Cheers,

Andy

Cheers for advice. I will try flushing the ISV out and check the hoses. Should i disconnect the valve electricaly? and where is the idle screw?

Thanks again,

Andy

hi there i recently had the same problem with my 1.8 16valve, i realised that the o ring on the idle speed adjustment screw was totally knackered this needed replacing (cost £1.00 halford) but this didn't sort the problem out completely until i took off the isv and cleaned it out really really well with some engine degreaser spray. Now all my idling problems are sorted. CHEAP FIXES ARE GREAT!!!
