What brake calipers?

Hello

After a bit of help, I need to replace my rear brake calipers but of course they are obselete through vw now. I can see there are a variety of aftermarket ones available, any ideas which ones i should go for?

for rears go for the mk4 golf upgrade

Rears from vw are not obsolete. I bought a set at a silly price last month from my dealer. The fronts however are.

 

Go for golf mk4 calipers but you will need good ridge conversion hoses as they are banjo connections. Standard rear calipers tend to seize and the handbrake mechanism is carp.

 

Whatever's route you choice have a look at vwspares for parts

Thanks for the replies, after reading the mk4 setup thread it does seem straight forward just calipers and hoses so i'll get them ordered tomorrow.

As for them being obselete i'm not sure why they told me this, are them some differences between early/late or g60/vr6 brakes? Maybe certain ones are now obselete others still available
