stuarttaylor37 13 Posted December 22, 2013 I was replacing the pipework from the pcv to the rocker cover and noticed what looked like steel wool sticking out of the pipe into rocker cover . Is that meant to be there and what does it do? Cheers Stu
Rams 0 Posted December 23, 2013 Yes it is, it's a very small filter in effect. I found that when polishing a metal rocker cover. Not sure if they are also present in a plastic rocker cover?
stuarttaylor37 13 Posted December 23, 2013 Thanks for the reply, is it meant to be held in any way or by something? mine is half in the rocker cover and half in the brass coloured tube that connects to the pcv pipework
Rams 0 Posted December 23, 2013 I think it should just be 1 ball in the rocker cover, it's just to stop debris getting in. I read up on it when wondering what it was myself when getting it ready for blasting.
