Replacing rear window advice...

Recommended Posts

Im after some clues on how the rear window comes out, is it easy, will the rubber survive or does it need replaced?

Is this a job for a specialist, has anyone changed their rear window and does anyone know if they are available from a glass specialist or is second hand the way ahead...

They're bonded in so taking one out would be a faff, but not impossible. Luckily the bead comes out easy enough to re-use.

The tool is about twenty pounds, but again can be tricky to use without breakages.

Im feeling it might b oath paying someone to take it out..

Is it possibly to use windscreen excess for this or does it just cover the front window?

It usually states glass cover, but you'll have an excess to pay and as its not broken so you can't claim

Bodyshops often use mobile fitters to remove glass, they won't guarantee that they'll remove the glass without breaking it, are you talking about the hatch glass or the quarter glass?
