Dave W 0 Posted February 24, 2014 After 8 years off road finally got car ready for mot,which it passed woo hoo. But on the way the oil light came on for a second. This happened a couple of times. The oil is full but is due to be changed as it is old. Could it be a sensor. After all the work ive done ill be gutted if its engine. Its a 1.8 kr. davidwort 0 Posted February 24, 2014 usually corroded wiring to the top of one of the oil pressure switches on top of the oil filter housing, or it could be one of the switches itself, if the wire is good, short it to the head, if it stops beeping then the switch is duff. Dave W 0 Posted February 24, 2014 Cheers, I shall check out the housing. I had a bit grief with broken alternator wire in loom.
