Dub Style 0 Posted May 27, 2004 Will a G60 wishbone fit a VR6 as i have heard the vr6 has a wider track if so does anyone know by how much its wider.
scruffydubbers 0 Posted May 27, 2004 it would fit, but like you say, they are a different width, i think its about a 10-15mm but could be wrong, dont VRs have different offset on the wheels too, if you knew the offset of the VR wheels and the offset of the G60 then find out the tack width of the car i guess you could work out the difference. the track width of the car is listed in the handbook i think
Henny 0 Posted May 27, 2004 wouldn't the shock mounting/balljoint be at the wrong angle etc if you used the wrong arm? I'd say that fitting the wrong arm would screw the geometry up completely and wouldn't be a clever thing to do... :| scruffydubbers, yeah, I think it is about 10mm difference... 8)
exturbo2003 0 Posted May 28, 2004 you would have to change the drive shafts as well but otherwise yes you can you will make the handling sharper but lose some high speed stability
16VG60 1 Posted May 28, 2004 Like all these mods it can be done, but why. The cost can not be an issue as they are sensible money to buy. Further to the other differences allready highlighted, the anti-roll bar mounts are different too as they incorporate drop links. As i say, can be done but one would need a very good reason. PhatVR6 0 Posted May 28, 2004 they are totally different, but I have a pair of spare vr6 wishbones if you need one.
