stu37 0 Posted April 10, 2014 Hi guys just a quick feeler to see if anyone on here has first hand experience of rebuilding a z engineering ZR1. The internet is hardly brimming with info but just looking to see if anyone has done this and what they may have experienced? My charger is in superb condition apart from ageing .I would not mind replacing the bearings and seals before they let go. Before it comes apart I just wondered if anyone had found suppliers for things such as the bearings and O rings and what the spec may be? Any help would be most appreciated, I hope to put together a breakdown when mine comes apart to help others in the same situation :).
Hofmiester 10 Posted April 10, 2014 If anyone hold parts it will be Superchargerrebuilds (google search) who are great for Vortech repair kits or RUF supercharger who bought the Z engineering tooling.
Matt@OCD 0 Posted April 10, 2014 Last I heard nothing is available! The bearings and seals are one offs for these chargers and RUF have nothing that works with the older style chargers! It's a shock to me as you'd think they'd design it to use standard bearings but apparently not. Now, I've never stripped one to see what I can find personally but you have to strip it to find part numbers and go from there. So if you can't get them then it's game over :(
Hofmiester 10 Posted April 13, 2014 Wow that's a pain. At least the vortech ones uses off the shelf bearings and seals
