ross k 10 Posted April 15, 2014 i done the conversion about 2 weeks ago and just used the standard kr engine mounts no clearance issues on the bonnet hope that helps its got the early low bonnet aswell

corradlo 0 Posted October 2, 2014 reviving this thread, anybody know which 4 branch is a good fit for a abf converted raddo? Cheers
ross k 10 Posted October 2, 2014 I looked into this and every thread i found said none of them would fit and they would all knock on the exhaust tunnel and sit to high due to the longer block not much help sorry but thats where my research got me
corradlo 0 Posted October 4, 2014 Im sure theres people on here that have done this conversion! there mmust be a solution. Failing that maybe use a kr manifold and have it extended somehow...
madmatt 10 Posted October 4, 2014 i have seen longer manifolds i think tsr have them listed for an abf into a mk2. but i would think a mk3 would fit
cdem 0 Posted October 6, 2014 As ross k said above everywhere i read it says they all catch. Also read the standard kr manifold flows well enough so there would be no benefit, how true that is i dont know as ive seen no proof. I just run the standard manifold but it does catch on the bottom of the bulk head/exhaust tunnel so going to look into solid engine mounts :-)
madmatt 10 Posted October 7, 2014 the other cheaper option is just to make up a spacer plate between the manifold and down pipe and put some longer studs in.i would not be in hurry to put solid engine mounts in unless it is a race car.
corradlo 0 Posted October 9, 2014 spacer sounds interesting, that seems a good way to do it, when the engine goes back in i will do some mock ups to see what works.
