paulneale 10 Posted May 17, 2014 Ok may seem a simple and obvious one but what are the tell tale signs that they need replacing?? Loss of power??? Irradic idling?? Lumpy sounding??
clumpy1 11 Posted May 17, 2014 That could be other thing's too coilpack assuming it's a vr6 you have isv but it could be your leads
GusPW 0 Posted May 17, 2014 Hesitation/misfire when under load, like accelerating uphill in too low a gear. Like clumpy said most symptoms for ht leads could also be coil pack. Could try the water mist thing, spray fine mist on coil pack and leads with engine running in the dark, look and listed for blue sparks jumping to the nearest bit of engine
paulneale 10 Posted May 20, 2014 No its the baby 2.0 16v. Thinking of upgrading to the vr tho. Want to get it running right before selling. Ok i tested the h.t leads by pulling them one by one while car running. With each lead there was difference in engine sound..so there are fine??? Is there anyway to test the isv?? The symptoms match the h.t leads diagnoses...so i am confused :(
