unomatt 10 Posted June 9, 2014 Evening all, my rado has a rear strut brace fitted by the previous owner, problem is the parcel shelf I bought won't sit properly with it there so, my question is, is there a benefit to the strut brace? I'm no racer and the car won't be seeing a track, would I notice the difference in day to day driving?
sexybourbon 0 Posted June 9, 2014 If your not going fast or giving the car any beans then id say flog it on and use the cash to buy a new grill ;) You can cut the parcel shelf a bit i think most people gave to do that i know i did , you cant tell and its easy to do i did mine with a dremel so its nice and neat
unomatt 10 Posted June 9, 2014 I was thinking the flog it and redistribute funds also! Will have to see if it's a fancy one or an ebay jobbie.
emu 0 Posted June 9, 2014 I remember huge difference in driving through corners and roundabouts after fitting trimsport rear top strut brace. Now will have to buy another one for my new rado.
sexybourbon 0 Posted June 9, 2014 Also actually it got rid of a few rattles and squeaks from the rear
Rorgasm 10 Posted June 10, 2014 What type of brace is it? could be interested in one depending on type & condition. Take a pic & post it if you got time:cool:
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted June 10, 2014 Take it off and if you don't notice a difference, you don't need it!
unomatt 10 Posted June 10, 2014 I'm thinking I will sell it on, if it makes a massive difference I will replace it but I could do with funds elsewhere really. I can't really test its effectiveness, car is SORN at the moment :( I don't think the brace is anything special and I think its lost some paint in one area. I will have a look at it tonight if I get home from work in time and take some pictures.
unomatt 10 Posted June 10, 2014 Took some photos, can't see any identifying marks on it so I'd guess its just an ebay jobbie.
