Clutch release bearing

Anyone have a rough idea of how much it costs to have the clutch release bearing done on a vr6

It's labour charge that costs the money. The bearing itself is a little over a tenner, but it's a gearbox off job so likely to be around £150 I reckon.

If you can take the gearbox off then yes.

if you can make sure you get a 'revised' valeo bearing.....

 

as from my recent experience the only release bearing which did not produce a horrible chirping noise was the final one of 4 which vince at stealth explained valeo rep had described as 'a revised version' ;)
