JEZR 10 Posted August 16, 2014 Hi, My sump is pretty rusty from when I was running the old girl through the winters. Before it gets worse I was going to ; Lightly rub off bad flaking rust Treat with Zinc 182 Anti rust Treatment Spray with Simoniz High Temp Paint Does this sound alright? The bit that worries me is the anti rust treatment being flammable. Will it be ok when it goes off or not ? Might sound stupid, but not as stupid as looking at a pile of burnt out C! steveo29 0 Posted August 16, 2014 id choose a thicker paint like smoothrite or any diy store enamel , no need for the high temp stuff it does get crazy hot , will smell a bit until its warmed up alternativly wipe it over with a oily rag Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
