Gibbo 10 Posted November 2, 2014 Are the coilovers easy to fit on the vr6? I did a set on my mk4 golf and on my mrs old lupo 16v and they were easy enough to do and ive just done a set on a lupo gti today for a mate. Do i have to worry about camber issues with th vr6 at all or will it be a straight swap as in old orignal units off and shiney new coilovers on? Sean_Jaymo 0 Posted November 2, 2014 Much easier than mk4 but you will need geo done as the camber isn't fixed like on the mk4.
Gibbo 10 Posted November 2, 2014 Would I need geo doing every time I changed the ride height?
Sean_Jaymo 0 Posted November 2, 2014 Technically yes, but how often do you adjust the ride height? Moving a thread or 2 from where the geo was last set wouldn't make a noticeable difference.
Gibbo 10 Posted November 2, 2014 It would be over winter really and i will be fitting the coilovers before i have the wheels i will be fitting, should get the wheels early next year. But not really that expencive to get tracking sorted i suppose
