shawshankkid 1 Posted December 24, 2014 (edited) Hi all, I've scratched the black plastic trim on the drivers wing mirror reversing out the garage....I've only been doing it for 10 years ! Lol. VEEDUBBED 0 Posted December 25, 2014 (edited) 3 screws inside the housing that screw the black bit onto the mirror housing. Remember to be very carefull when removing the mirror glass though, pulling off the glass can crack it, watch out for corroded spade terminals for the heated glass aswell.. Be extra carefull whilst pushing back on the mirror glass that snaps into place, i always put a dab of silicone grease on the 4 plastic outer locating 'ears' to avoid cracking the glass, try not to push the outer parts of the glass as i remember cracking a few like this..but with the grease applied you should be fine. VEEDUBBED 0 Posted December 27, 2014 Packed it up today mate, before i forget, don't forget the tiny set screw that's located underneath the swivel bit of the mirror and spray some wd40 or similuer onto those little bastid connectors for the heated element, i buggered one mirror glass today removingvit..
