MZpog 10 Posted January 12, 2015 On recently replacing the ISV on my 2.0 16v I noticed the elbow pipe was getting tired and decided the black pipe across the intake is unsightly. To sort this I've been considering replacing them with a bit of chrome tubing and some silicone hose. Whilst looking for inspiration (red or black hose) I found that some people have ditched the pipe from the ISV and fitted a tiny K&N style filter, presumably blocking where the pipe originally fitted to the intake. I think the K&N setup looks tidy however before I find a filter to fit the ISV, I wonder if this is in anyway harmful to the cars setup etc.
Wompa 0 Posted January 12, 2015 The ISV-unit is there for a reason... just clean it, replace broken hoses and leave it complete in the car.
MZpog 10 Posted January 12, 2015 The intention is to leave the ISV but do something with the hose that exits to the intake.
