ausgolfer 0 Posted January 28, 2015 Hello All, I have a 91 G60 RHD, am wanting to replace the coolant hoses. Looking at the samco website they only do kits for LHD G60 corrados. Is there any difference between a LHD and RHD in terms of the hoses, can I use the LHD kit? Cheers.
g0ldf1ng3r 15 Posted January 28, 2015 i would imagine the 2 kits are different you could try roose motorsport - there are a few of us here who run their cooling pipes personally, i chose them over samco due to the reports i had read of samco pipes splitting in restrospect if i was to do it again i would however not buy their jubilee clip set & would use the original VW constant tension springs
ausgolfer 0 Posted January 28, 2015 thanks gold, I'll check out roose. The standard clips are a PITA, was going to replace them with high quality regular hose clamps.
ausgolfer 0 Posted January 28, 2015 from the looks of their site they don't do hoses for a G60 corrado.

Chuggs1 10 Posted January 28, 2015 And the Samco ones are available on Demon Tweaks so should be UK ones but worth checking with them http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/silicone-hose-kits/car/volkswagen/corrado-g60/samco-performance-silicone-coolant-hose-kit-blue-8-hoses
ausgolfer 0 Posted February 4, 2015 Thanks for that Chuggs, but they're all LHD specific :( no luck for the RHD G60.
Riley 0 Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) There's never been a RHD G60 specific set that I know of unfortunately. EDIT: I wonder if after all these years it would be worth approaching somebody like Venair or similar about production? Neil. sankysvr6 0 Posted February 4, 2015 Isn't the layout of a Golf G60 engine the same as the Corrado G60 engine? As I thought it was the same, so there can't be any differences in the LHD hoses I would have thought. I'm probably missing something obvious here. Chuggs1 10 Posted February 4, 2015 I can't imagine there being a difference in engine layout but worth checking with the suppliers.... As they are UK suppliers wouldn't they be mainly supplying right hand drive... Worth a check
Chuggs1 10 Posted February 4, 2015 Are the venair ones left hand drive only can't see it says that?
