White VR6 in Windy Yorkshire! :)

Recommended Posts

yea its the mk4 one, you have to ovalize the 2 mounting holes slighty with a small round file or drill bit? as the hole centers are abit bigger then the rados {5mm?} but its easy to do , its deffo a worth while mod or you could just buy a rado vr6 tank and cap and straight swap , either way idd get a new tank and cap as it does make a huge difference,

heres a syringe you can get to suck out coolant, you can also use it to suck power steering fluid or brake/clutch fluid just clean it out straight away http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Large-Big-Huge-50ml-100ml-160ml-SYRINGES-INK-CISS-IPA-GLUE-DIY-FAST-CHEAPEST-/151120286550?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&var=&hash=item232f789356

Cool

I ll keep note of that :o

Silly question.

But why is it a better upgrade to the C one?

because both tank and cap are cheaper and readily available and will be for ages, other then that theres no real advantage to them, the mk4 electrical plug also fits in nicely with my engine as its mk4 2.8 so has the same style plugs , little things add up :)

Wayne you're a proper mechanic now I reckon ;) Maybe just 'servicing' the sunroof will help reduce/stop the leak? That silicon grease is good stuff - very sticky though!!

If you put a lot on then be prepared for it squirting out everywhere! lol

your leak is an odd one! but i think if you get some one with a hose pipe on it whilst your in the car looking for it the leak will become clear, good luck!

Lol

Cheers bud!

If i use a hose pipe it will produce the another leak! :( :shocked!:

It is a bizzare one, as the third leak i understand.

But not the leak from near the drain outlets ??? :bonk:

lol dont use the hose full bore on it! just enough so its got a nice steady flow into the center of the sun roof, or point it straight up full bore for rain effect haha

Lol

I use a slow steady hose pipe flow to rinse car (after wash) and it trickled into middle back of sunroof (between sunroof inner headliner and outsr sunroof headliner).

I think the reason is my outside sunroof seal shrunk - so letting more water in than usual.

So that i understand.

But the leak that wets my driver seat and rear seat???

As all drains clear

All drain outlet clear

All drain channels clear

No blockages (as tested when i took sunroof off)

So a funny one :bonk:

Just noticed you'd posted again and after looking outside at the beautiful English weather, assumed you were gonna post up news of further leaks. Glad that's not the case and you may have accidently repaired it.
