VR6: Stalling coming to junctionp

Recommended Posts

i bought 1 just like that years ago, good bit of kit and cheap as,red instead of blue and that came with a 2+2 lead for early cars.thought all obd2 cars run the 16pin plug butyou need the adapter to run on obd1 car.got an official vagcom which is what i use most now as it does so much more on late cars

Wayne, I have VAGCOM so I'll scan your car at the weekend for you too. Also have a 2x2 lead to scan it if required. Bought the 2x2 adapter from ebay for about £3!

I had a U281 code reader similar to the one in the link when I had my mk3 Golf. Was a decent bit of kit for the the money, though only gave basic diagnostics so not sure how useful it'll be on OBD1 cars.

Sean - what can I say?

U, this forum, all the members help - if Heiniken did car forums ...

Hopefully the Friday garage will have a plug-in too and resolve most issues,

before we meet up Sean!

The garage supposed to be the BEST VW specialist in the area!

Can I buy u + family lovely Fish n Chips for tea?

Seriously?

Think it's Carlsberg mate! Lol

Seriously bud, let me see what I have first. I'll have a good look around my store and the garage on Friday. I'm a serial horder so if some of the parts can be made use of due to unscrupulous sellers taking advantage, which I was on the receiving end of too by the way, them I'm only too happy to help. :thumbleft:

My bad ref Carlsberg - lol

Yeah

I gave quite a few parts away in the past hoping members stay on the forum (another forum).

But all they wanted was the generosity of the parts just to fix their cars to sell on.

Having said that - please bear in mind, i dont know how long i am keeping mine!

Plan was for just 2 seasons.

Then back to boring modern cars from autumn.

But as i love my car so much now (except the issues!)

And I didnt get my redundancy money - my future is a little muddy now ...

Thought i be clear and honest so u know ....

No need to worry and appreciate the honesty mate. If you move onto something else in future, just a mention of how helpful us Corrado forum folk are, can only be of benefit to the forum or owners in general further down the line.

Deffo! :)

My experience has shown not all forums are the same.

Not even same car forums.

And certainly having one of the cars does help!

As I know from experience and with me no good at DIY -

If I have no car, I have nothing to say or contribute :(

Have you had chance to test any of the diagnoses to check what's to fault?

Car still with garage until they get the parts coming week

Will report back when fixed! :)
