bristolbaron 10 Posted February 18, 2015 Volkswagen GOLF (MK5) S TDI DPF 2007 VW Golf Mk5 Estate 1.9 TDI S MOT: 12 months Mileage: 149850 History: Some stamps missing, Cambelt etc changed at 149k. HPI clean with printout. Last summer I found out we were expecting a baby, so sold my S4 for a sensible family car. I'd had a mk4 estate before, so the mk5 was a natural progression. I found this car in Cardiff and had set my mind on it staying standard. I found a set of KW Street Comfort coilovers and due to the ride quality, justified the purchase! Of course, I then needed to fit different wheels, so sent a set of Porsche twists I had in the garage off for refurbishment and then fitted them at the same time as the coilovers. Shortly after, the car started running really badly. It turns out the mk5's have the same 'chocolate' camshaft as the 150 mk4's, so this was replaced and the cambelt/waterpump was changed also. I recently had issues with the ASV, so this has been replaced with a new one too. It's now driving perfectly. Externally, there are a few marks on the bodywork, but nothing significant. I am happy to email photo's over on request. Internally, the car is in great shape, without the sort of wear to the seats you might expect from the mileage. All the miles were done in the first few years, so I'm guessing motorway miles. The car is currently on Mercedes 18x8" multispokes, with 215/35 tyres. The Porsche Twists are 18x7.5 Fronts, with 215/35 tyres, 18x9 Rears, with 225/40 tyres. The car can be on either set of wheels at asking price, your choice. I'm selling because I'm going to buy a Golf Plus for my wife and use her car instead. This would be the only thing I'm really interested in as a PX, but if you have something to get rid off, feel free to try me if the price is reasonable.
