Plus suspension????

Hi all,

 

Looking for some advice, I am going to be buying new Bilstein B4 fronts, but have been told there are two available. One being for plus suspension and the other for base (or narrow track) suspension.

 

Is the general rule of thumb that all plus suspension is 5 stud? Or are there some four stud (later years) running on plus suspension from the factory?

 

Mine is a 94 (L) 2.0 16V and dont want to assume it is base suspension.

 

Any help, as always, greatly appreciated.

Plus suspension refers to the widetrack variant fitted to the VR6s.

 

There are some elements in last production year that get standardised across the range like the top mounts etc.

I did think mine was standard and not widetrack.

 

Better get them ordered today then, another job on the "To do list"

All 5 studded vehicles came with the widetrack .

I think it was just the run out years that can cause some confusion, as the 4 pot engines can have different suspension from the earlier years.

That's it, post 93 or 94 (I can't remember) all cars got the wider suspension and just different shocks/springs depending on engine.
