mic_VR 3 Posted April 8, 2015 Can't believe I'm going to ask this but.... will this work on a VR?

rado-steve 0 Posted April 8, 2015 Can't believe I'm going to ask this but.... will this work on a VR? Well you'll need either a Mk2 Synchro Boot floor & fuel Tank or fabricate a rear subframe & move your tank. Yes it will fit, The gearbox is for a 4 Pot car though, so you'd need a 2.8/R32 gearbox with transfer case to fit a VR motor!

unclean 10 Posted April 9, 2015 I was under the impression you needed the Syncro/Rallye rear beam to fit the Corrado, but you could use this diff to upgrade it to Haldex? (Not calling anyone out, intrigued more than anything).
rado-steve 0 Posted April 9, 2015 Not saying its a direct bolt on fit, its gonna ned some fabrication on whoever buys its part!

Etino 10 Posted April 17, 2015 I was under the impression you needed the Syncro/Rallye rear beam to fit the Corrado, but you could use this diff to upgrade it to Haldex? (Not calling anyone out, intrigued more than anything). Actually, Wilco from Dutchbuild has a lot of experience with Synchro/Haldex conversion on Mk2's etc. He says you have two options, cheapest/fastest option, cut the spare wheel out and weld a plate in, and welding in a rectangular profile which supports the 4x4 mounting points, this option also needs a different petrol tank, most likely a aluminium one in the boot. Other option is handy when you want to keep it original (looking), is indeed a Mk2 or Passat Synchro boot floor including the petrol tank I believe.
