Which OEM wheel came with which model?

Recommended Posts

Was looking up what wheels came with my 1994 VR6

Is it the 15" Solitude?

Or Speedlines?

A check on CCGB (thanks to Andy aka HairyArse) seems its Speedlines

But CCGB does not list other wheel names (apart from BBS) for the other models :(

But someone also told me maybe different years had differenf wheels too?

So

Does anyone know which wheels came with which model/year?

All corrados had the 5 spoke speedlines apart from the storm versions which had the 6 spoke solitudes.

This is as standard but I think there were a few other options so but couldn't tell you of the top of my head. The standard speedlines are great wheels, strong and light but brake size limit is 288mm.

Speedline was the standard. There were a couple of 'option' wheels (e.g. Brands Hatch) for the VR and the Solitude was for the Storm only!

The first one pictured is the Brands Hatch, and was an option. The second are Monte Carlo's - they came as standard on the campaign and I think really early VR's, and also VR's / SLC's in other markets (Canada, etc).

You can buy the Brand Hatch brand new from Classic Parts for not much more than the cheapo Solitudes. I can't deny I've been tempted by a set for a long time.
