I'm 90% way through my engine overhaul, today I went to fit my new rocker cover gasket (I've got the plastic rocker cover) now , on my actual rocker cover there is a recess or cut out if you will where it looks to me the gasket should fit. On the gasket I've been supplied with it doesn't fit in the recess it fits onto the actual head but on my rocker cover there is 2 tabs that I presume fit either side of the half moon even though the tabs don't seem to fit well at all on either side of the half moon the tabs actually deform how the gasket sits and clearly would allow oil leakage I know this is a long winded description but I really am out of ideas here lol. There must be a gasket out there that fits into the cutout in my plastic rocker cover I just can't find it 😒 any help much appreciated cheers guys.
