Daveproyoyoyo 10 Posted June 14, 2015 Went to go and change the rear calipers over to Mk 4 ones today and got them both installed ready to go except for when I went to tighten the banjo bolt in the second one I put in, I noticed the thread had already been stripped on the caliper itself. The other one is fine and went on no problem. The car has failed its MOT on the handbrake, hence the need to do this job and I desperately need it back on the road, so I'm hoping someone on here has a usable caliper that they can send me. Thanks! Dave

Wompa 0 Posted June 14, 2015 You cant Heli-Coil the thread?
Daveproyoyoyo 10 Posted June 14, 2015 (edited) Just looked up what heli coils and its definitely not a bad idea but it looks like that option may be more expensive and more effort than actually buying another second hand one lol. I think I paid £25 for the pair. Edited June 14, 2015 by Daveproyoyoyo
