WillMK7 10 Posted November 10, 2015 Afternoon chaps! I've been having issues with my Corrados PAS for a while now. I've looked up several issues and have narrowed it down; but I was wondering what the forum had to say also! So basically, when stationary, if you turn the wheel the steering will judder, you can physically feel it and hear it! Its not nice, but obviously at speed there no issue turning. So am I right in presuming this is the rack leaking? As there is a noticeable drop in the hydraulic fluid level over a month; and it leaves a drip every where I park it aha! I was hoping it was just the belt tension, but I'm guessing this isn't the case? So, what's the best cost effective was of replacing the steering rack? Preferably I'd like to keep the power steering. Any insight, knowledge or actual help is much appreciated! Thanks, Will
Dox 23 Posted November 10, 2015 I'd check the condition of the belt first and its tension. Jack the car up and see where the leak is coming from
MZpog 10 Posted November 10, 2015 I'd check the condition of the belt first and its tension. I was gonna say the same. When it's very wet the belt on mine sometimes slips and judders, reminding me I need to tighten it up.
