cmalyan 11 Posted December 23, 2015 Hi, I've purchased a leather handbreak gaiter (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/351003404219?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT) but I can't for the life of me fit it! My issue is first of all how to remove the original leather grip, I've read on a few posts that you need to push underneath with a screwdriver and slide the grip off but it doesn't seem to shift and I'm in fear of slicing into my hand. Does anyone have any advice on how to remove what I need to(?) and fit the gaiter please? Thanks in advance!!
Cressa 44 Posted December 23, 2015 Hopefully with that picture you can see the knobbly locating lug which is underneath the handle. What I would say is it involves a LOT of force to pull it off towards the dashboard. And when it does release Have some cushioning in front to protect your dash and hand. Good luck
