RS G60 10 Posted March 21, 2016 Hi All, I was trying to get a handle on what I'll be charged to bring together the parts to change my distributor setup to a coil pack. Costs to rebuild the distributor and the difficulty in getting original parts plus the slightly more tidy setup are my motivation. Not interested in going the OBDII option for a few reasons. So the loom, the upper engine cover, the impulse sensor and the camshaft position sensor, coil pack etc. Thanks in advance for any help. Best regards. RS G60 10 Posted February 6, 2017 Hi All, Just putting this out there again as there didn't seem to be much of a response. Late Coil Pack wiring loom to run with newer style MAF. I have a CH ecu already, if anyone can also clarify if this needs to have an IMO defeat that would be helpful as well. Thank you!
lilfuzzer 1 Posted February 6, 2017 So you just need the loom now Ben? Sent from my SM-G357FZ using Tapatalk
RS G60 10 Posted February 6, 2017 Hey Chris, No still need all the parts. I just wanted to be specific about the 1995 aspect as my MAF seems like it has sh*t itself. As you probably know the hot wire MAF is a pain to find at a decent price. I am curious to know why VW used the hot wire MAF for longer in some more expensive models. Golf VR6 Syncro, Corrado, Passat VR6. Also as I may have mentioned I want to utilise a coil pack rather than a distributor. No photos managed to reach me unfortunately. Thanks for any additional help.

RS G60 10 Posted February 7, 2017 Hi Chris, I have the 6 (5) pin version at the moment, the is the hot wire version. Required is the 4 pin version that is the same as coil pack Mk3 VR6's. Does that help without having to post a pic? Thanks.
