Steering height adjuster pin falling out

Well for the 3rd time the pin in the steering height adjuster mechanism on the steering Column has fallen out.

 

At 70mph it's brown pants moment.

 

I've tried a few things over the years but still works it way out.

 

Has anyone else had this issue?

 

I'm looking for a permanent solution without going for a fixed height steering column.

I've got an old adjustable coloum i'm throwing out mate, let me know if there's anything on it you need to fix yours.

And no, the pin doesn't fall out.. weird one that..
