16v brakes

Recommended Posts

Hi all, looking at getting ready for mot and know I need to sort brakes is it worth upgrading

I think I've read on here about upgrading to 280mm g60 setup. Any advise greatfully received thanks.

Don't look specifically for G60, the vr6 280mm setup is the same. The mention G60 just hikes prices up for those unaware though mate. Again, mk3 Golf GTI from previous 95 use 280mm front setup too, so you can widen your search which should make availability plentiful.

Vr brake discs are 5 bolt compared to the g60's 4 bolt pattern..

Same thing applies to the mk3 golfs.

Thanks for the info guys, I was wondering about the bolt pattern is the upgrade worth doing at the moment the brakes are poor.

Sorry yeah, thats what I was getting at in my original post. The calipers are the same across all I've mentioned, just stud pattern on the disks are different.
